The Foundation for Philosophical Orientation is seeking a motivated Social Media Intern to join our team. This is a remote, part-time position of approximately 5 hours per week at $15/hour, offering flexible scheduling and the opportunity to contribute to an international community dedicated to philosophy, culture, and education. Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the Foundation’s social media accounts (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X, with potential for additional platforms).
- Create posts and announcements for events (e.g., video premieres, conferences) and develop engaging general content.
- Monitor and respond to direct messages.
- Track engagement metrics such as follower growth and audience interaction.
Additional Tasks (as needed):
- Light website updates (no prior coding experience required; our platform is easy to use).
- Participate in FPO events, occasionally online and potentially in person.
- Conduct basic market, expense, or travel research to support events and publishing activities (via our related press, Orientations Press).
Qualifications:
- Strong familiarity with social media platforms and trends.
- Familiarity with Continental philosophy.
- Interest in philosophy, arts, and culture (familiarity with FPO’s mission and the philosophy of orientation is a plus).
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a consistent weekly schedule.
- Basic graphic design or digital editing skills (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) are a plus but not required.
