The horizon is the line that lets a world appear, and it is also the limit we rarely notice. It quietly frames what we can take in at all—what becomes visible, meaningful, and orienting from where we stand. And it has a peculiar logic. The moment you try to look at the horizon directly, it shifts. What you thought was the edge turns into something within view, and another horizon opens beyond it. Horizons are not fixed borders. They are moving limits that change with perspective.
This is why we chose HORIZON as the theme for our next photo competition. We are looking for images that explore horizons in any sense: literal or metaphorical, urban or natural, intimate or political, hopeful or unsettling. Your photo can show a skyline, a threshold, a boundary, a turning point, or the feeling of something just out of reach. What matters is that your image makes a horizon thinkable and visible—as a limit that enables orientation.
How to participate
You can submit your photo by sending it to us via DM on Instagram. You can include a title and, if you like, one or two sentences about how your image connects to the theme.
Finalists and voting
We will select and post the best photos as finalists on Instagram. The winner will be decided by public voting: the photo with the most likes wins.
Deadline and prize
The submission deadline is February 14. The prize is $100.
